This article discusses the different dependencies for each section in order for them to be marked complete designated by the color blue. Knowing the dependencies is helpful when faced with the "Stage needs reprocessing due to upstream changes" notification.
Getting Started
After creating a new report, all sections should be green or grey with a locked symbol.
A green section means that you can work on that section immediately.
A grey section means that the section is locked, and a prior section of the report must be marked complete (section changes from green to blue) before you can proceed.
Dependent Sections
| A-6 Reclasses and A-8 Adjustments: | Dependent on the completion of Assign WS A Lines and Columns under GL Mappings. |
| Other/Non Operating Revenue and Interest Income/Expense A-8s: | Dependent on the completion of Worksheet A-6 Reclasses. |
| C, Part I: | Dependent on the completion of Assign WS C Lines and Columns under GL Mappings. |
| S-3, Part II-V Wage Index: | Dependent on the completion of A-6 Reclasses because all relevant A-6 reclasses related to salaries will be applied to the Wage Index hours. |
| PS&R Revenue Code Assignment: | Dependent on the completion of C, Part I. |
| B Series Cost Allocation: | Although this section is not locked, it can only be marked complete after sections A-6, A-8, C, Part I, and S-3 Part II-IV Wage Index are marked complete. |
| All sub-units (ex. HHA, Hospice, Renal): | Dependent on the completion of A-6 Reclasses and A-8 Adjustments. |
Note: If any sections that an originally grey section is dependent on are modified, the dependent section will turn red. A notification will also state, "Stage needs reprocessing due to upstream changes." This notification serves to remind that those dependencies need updating by remarking as complete. It's also important to see if any changes to your dependencies also significantly impact the dependent stage (e.g., changing a GL mapping affecting an A-6 reclass).
