Overview
The Import Operations feature in Absolute is used as an upload function for each specific reclass in the A-6 Reclasses section. This feature allows the user to import multiple Reclass Operations for each A-6 reclass.
The import template can be used if an A-6 Reclass has multiple Reclass Operations that are not easily identifiable in a particular GL account, or if extensive analysis is done outside of Absolute.
Import Operations
Worksheet A-6 data may be imported into Absolute via an import template, on the specific A-6 reclass under the Add Operation section.
Note that Importing data will overwrite all Reclass Operations.
An import template may be downloaded out of Absolute by clicking on the Download Template Link.
The data in this template should conform to the following criteria:
- Column 1 AccountType: The WS A-6 accounts that will be used for the reclass. It must be either "all" or "line".
- Column 2 AccountValue: The WS A-6 line number which the amount will be reclassed from. The line number can include up to two decimal places. If the AccountType is "all" then this field can be blank.
- Column 3 FromColumn: The WS A-6 column number where the amount will be reclassed from. This column is optional but If necessary, this column should contain either 1 or 2.
- Column 4 OperationType: The WS A -6 Operation Type should contain either "fixed", "percent", or "allocation".
- Column 5 Description: The description should be between 1-160 characters.
- Column 6 OperationValue: This column should contain the fixed, allocation, or percent amount(s) (up to 4 decimal places) that should be reclassed. A percent amount can be entered with or without a % (i.e. either as 100 or 100%). Please note that no commas can be included in the OperationValue.
- Column 7 ToLine: The WS A-6 line number to which the amount will be reclassed to. The line number can include up to two decimal places and the line number must be included in WS A.
- Column 8 ToColumn: The WS A-6 column number where the amount will be reclassed to. This column is optional but If necessary, this column should contain either 1 or 2.
- The import template must not contain any partially completed rows below the data being imported.
Once this template is completed and saved, it may be uploaded into Absolute by clicking on the Import Operations option, and browsing to where this file is saved.
Note: Absolute only allows CSV files to be imported via the Import Operations. The Template automatically downloads as a CSV file.
Template instructions can be viewed out of Absolute by clicking on the Template Instructions link.
Note: Every row in the source file must pass validation for the information to be added to the database. If one or more rows do not pass validation, an error message will display detailing the issue(s) in the row(s).
