Report Insights Overview

The Report Manager Report Insights feature is available to health systems with the Absolute Suite subscription and provides health systems with the capability to view Expense and Revenue Department Analysis and Payroll Analysis viewers for all hospitals within a Report Set. Superusers can review onscreen analysis information for standardization across all hospitals in the report set, as well as review individual hospitals data for new or change mappings as well as significant balance changes. These viewers can also be exported from Report Manager for additional review. 

Expense and Revenue Department Analysis

The Expense and Revenue Department Analysis tab allows superusers to review General Ledger data for all hospitals in the Report Set, including new or changes mappings for Worksheet A or C, departments that have a mapping mismatch between Worksheet A and C, and significant balance changes. This analysis tool can be accessed from the dropdown at the top of the Report Insights tab. 

There are four review tabs available for superusers to review the health system data: Overview, Worksheet A Department Department Analysis, Expense and Revenue Line Mapping, and Worksheet A Net Expense Analysis.

Overview Tab

The Overview tab lists each hospital in the Report Set and the amount of items that impact each hospital. For example, if the user clicks on "New Mappings", the Overview will include the number of new mappings for each hospital. 

WS A Department Analysis Overview Tab

The WS A Department Analysis Overview tab allows the superuser to review departmental changes between the current year and the prior data at each hospital in the Report Set. There are a number of different analysis tools the user can toggle between: New Mappings, Changed Mappings, Significant Balance Changes, and Department Only in CY or PY. The user can export the data to compare departmental mappings at a health system level to ensure that departments are mapped consistently. It also allows the user to review for significant balance changes between the current year and prior year, which begins analysis at the beginning of the cost report preparation cycle. This data can be reviewed on screen or exported by clicking the Export button on the right of the screen.  

Expense and Revenue Line Mapping Tab

The Expense and Revenue Line Mapping tab allows the superuser to review for potential mismatched Line mappings in Absolute between Worksheet A and C. For example, if Department 0000 is mapped to Line 30 on Worksheet A, but mapped to Line 31 on Worksheet C, this analysis tab will highlight this for the user to review and correct if needed on the hospital's report. The user can also review for departments that are only on Worksheet A and not Worksheet C or vice verse by switching between the available tabs in this section. 

WS A Net Expense Analysis Tab

The WS A Net Expense Analysis tab allows the superuser to review the changes between the current year and prior year report for Worksheet A, Column 7 by line. This information will continue to be updated as the cost report preparers update the Worksheet A-6 and Worksheet A-8 information in each hospital's report in the Report Set. To expand a hospital's data, click on the arrow to the left of the hospital's name. The user can also refresh the information by clicking the "Reload Data" button to get the most up to date data available. The user also can drilldown to only review the Significant Balance Changes by switching between the "All" and the "Significant Balance Change" tabs in this section. 

Payroll Analysis

The Payroll Analysis tab allows superusers to review the Payroll Mapping data for all hospitals in the Report Set to ensure there is consistent mapping across all facilities for the payroll data. This analysis tool can be accessed from the dropdown at the top of the Report Insights tab. 

There are two review tabs available for superusers to review the health system data: Overview and Global Payroll Pay Type Classifications. 

Overview Tab

The Overview tab lists each hospital in the Report Set and the amount of items that impact each hospital. If a user hovers over one of the classifications, they will see the number of classifications for each Pay Type. 

Global Payroll Pay Type Classifications Tab

The Global Payroll Pay Type Classifications tab allows the superuser to review the Pay Type mappings for all hospitals in the Report Set. The user can drilldown into just the Pay Types that have Multiple Classifications by toggling between the "All" and "Multiple Classifications" tabs. To review the detail for each Pay Type, click on the arrow to the left of one Pay Type to expand the detailed information.
